Background:

Actins are highly conserved proteins that are involved in various types of cell motility and are ubiquitously expressed in all eukaryotic cells. Essential component of cell cytoskeleton; plays an important role in cytoplasmic streaming, cell shape determination, cell division, organelle movement and extension growth.

Source and Purity:

Rabbit polyclonal antibodies were produced by immunizing animals with a GST-fusion protein containing a fragment of the N-terminal region of Arabidopsis Actin-1 protein, which is 100% identical to the corresponding region of Oryza Actin-1 protein. This antibody was purified by the method of caprylic acid- ammonium sulfate precipitation, and is predicted to recognize the major forms of plant actin proteins.

Storage Buffer and Condition:

Supplied in 1 x PBS (pH 7.4), 100 ug/ml BSA, 40% Glycerol, 0.01% NaN3. Store at -20 °C. Stable for 6 months from date of receipt.
