Background:

DNA (cytosine-5-)-methyltransferase 3B (DNMT3B) is involved in genome wide de novo methylation and is essential for the establishment of DNA methylation patterns during development.  DNMT3B may preferentially methylates nucleosomal DNA within the nucleosome core region. DNMT3B may also function as transcriptional co-repressor by associating with CBX4 and independently of DNA methylation. DNA methylation is coordinated with methylation of histones.  Mutations in this gene cause the immunodeficiency-centromeric instability-facial anomalies syndrome.

Source and Purity:

Rabbit polyclonal antibodies were produced by immunizing animals with a GST-fusion protein containing the N-terminal region of human DNMT3B.  Antibodies were purified by affinity purification using immunogen. 

Storage Buffer and Condition:

Supplied in 1 x PBS (pH 7.4), 100 ug/ml BSA, 40% Glycerol, 0.01% NaN3. Store at -20 °C. Stable for 6 months from date of receipt.
