Background:

CD40 ligand (CD40L) is expressed on the surface of T cells and it regulates B cell function by engaging CD40 on the B cell surface.  It plays a role in immunoglobulin class switching.  A defective CD40L results in an inability to undergo immunoglobulin class switch and is associated with hype-IgM syndrome.

Source and Purity:

Rabbit polyclonal antibodies were produced by immunizing animals with a GST-fusion protein containing the N-terminal region of human CD40L.  Antibodies were purified by affinity purification using immunogen.
