Jumonji domain containing 7 (JMJD7) is a highly conserved protein with a JmjC domain, which is part of the cupin metalloenzyme superfamily.  Proteins with JmjC domains may function as 2-oxoglutarate-Fe(II)-dependent dioxygenases.  JMJD7 was first thought to be an alternatively spliced isoform of phospholipase A2, group IVB protein (PLA2G4B) since it is located just upstream of PLA2G4B.  Most tissues express read-through transcripts from JMJD7 into the downstream PLA2G4B, some of which may encode fusion proteins combining the two proteins.

Source and Purity:

Rabbit polyclonal antibodies were produced by immunizing animals with a GST-fusion protein containing the N-terminal region of human JMJD7.  Antibodies were purified by affinity purification using immunogen.
