R1139-1 - P4HB (N) Antibody, Rabbit Polyclonal
|
Quantity: 100 ul Application: WB Predicted I Observed M.W.: 57 kDa Uniprot ID: P07237 Background: Prolyl 4-hydroxylase subunit beta (P4HB) is the beta subunit of prolyl 4-hydroxylase, a highly abundant multifunctional enzyme that belongs to the protein disulfide isomerase family. When present as a tetramer consisting of two alpha and two beta subunits, P4HB is involved in hydroxylation of prolyl residues in preprocollagen. P4HB is also a disulfide isomerase containing two thioredoxin domains that catalyze the formation, breakage and rearrangement of disulfide bonds. Other known functions include its ability to act as a chaperone that inhibits aggregation of misfolded proteins in a concentration-dependent manner, its ability to bind thyroid hormone, its role in both the influx and efflux of S-nitrosothiol-bound nitric oxide, and its function as a subunit of the microsomal triglyceride transfer protein complex. Other Names: DSI, ERBA2L, GIT, P4Hbeta, PDI, PDIA1, PO4DB, PO4HB, PROHB, Protein disulfide-isomerase, Cellular thyroid hormone-binding protein, Prolyl 4-hydroxylase subunit beta, p55 Source and Purity: Rabbit polyclonal antibodies were produced by immunizing animals with a GST-fusion protein containing the N-terminal region of human P4HB. Antibodies were purified by affinity purification using immunogen. Storage Buffer and Condition: Supplied in 1 x PBS (pH 7.4), 100 ug/ml BSA, 40% Glycerol, 0.01% NaN3. Store at -20 °C. Stable for 6 months from date of receipt. Species Specificity: Human Tested Applications: WB: 1:1,000-1:3,000 (detect endogenous protein*) *: The apparent protein size on WB may be different from the calculated M.W. due to modifications. Product Data: Fig 1. Western blot of total cell extracts fromA) human HeLa, B) human Jurkat; using anti-P4HB (N) (R1139-1) at RT for 2 h. |
