Background:

JAK2 is involved in a specific subset of cytokine receptor signaling pathways. JAK2 has been found to be constituitively associated with the prolactin receptor and is required for responses to gamma interferon. Defects in JAK2 are a cause of susceptibility to Budd-Chiari syndrome, polycythemia vera, thrombocythemia type 3, myelofibrosis, and myelogenous leukemia.

Source and Purity:

Rabbit polyclonal antibodies were produced by immunizing animals with a GST-fusion protein containing the C-terminal region of human JAK2. Antibodies were purified by affinity purification using immunogen.
