Background:

Myogenic factor 5 (MYF5) is also known as Class C basic helix-loop-helix protein 2 (BHLHC2), which is a nuclear protein containing a bHLH (basic helix-loop-helix) domain. MYF5 is involved in muscle differentiation (myogenic factor), and it can induce fibroblasts to differentiate into myoblasts. MYF5 is a probable sequence specific DNA-binding protein, and efficient DNA binding of MYF5 requires dimerization with another bHLH protein.

Source and Purity:

Rabbit polyclonal antibodies were produced by immunizing animals with a GST-fusion protein containing the N-terminal region of human MYF5. Antibodies were purified by affinity purification using immunogen.
