Background:

FAS-associated factor 1 (FAF1) is involved in the apoptotic process, possibly by binding and inhibiting chaperone activity. FAF1 contains a UBA domain and a UBX domain. It can potentiate but not initiate FAS-induced apoptosis. FAF1 interacts with the cytoplasmic domain of FAS and with the NLRP12 DAPIN/PYRIN domain via its UBA domain. Reduction in FAF1 expression is associated with gastric carcinoma.

Source and Purity:

Rabbit polyclonal antibodies were produced by immunizing animals with a GST-fusion protein containing the C-terminal region of human FAF1. Antibodies were purified by affinity purification using immunogen. 

Storage Buffer and Condition:

Supplied in 1 x PBS (pH 7.4), 100 ug/ml BSA, 40% Glycerol, 0.01% NaN₃. Store at -20 °C. Stable for 6 months from date of receipt.
