Background:

Mitogen-activated protein kinase kinase kinase 7 (MAP3K7) is a serine/threonine protein kinase that is an essential component of the MAP kinase signal transduction pathway. MAP3K7 plays an important role in the cascades of cellular responses evoked by changes in the environment. It mediates signal transduction of TRAF6 and of various cytokines including IL-1, TGFB, TGFB-related factors, TLR, TNF receptor CD40, and B-cell receptor. When activated, MAP3K7 is an upstream activator of the MKK/JNK signal transduction cascade and the p38 signal transduction cascade through phosphorylation and activation of MAP kinase kinases.

Other Names:

Mitogen-activated protein kinase kinase kinase 7, Transforming growth factor-beta-activated kinase 1, TGF-beta-activated kinase 1, TAK1

Source and Purity:

Rabbit polyclonal antibodies were produced by immunizing animals with a GST-fusion protein containing the C-terminal region of human MAP3K7. Antibodies were purified by affinity purification using immunogen.

Storage Buffer and Condition:

Supplied in 1 x PBS (pH 7.4), 100 ug/ml BSA, 40% Glycerol, 0.01% NaN3. Store at -20 °C. Stable for 6 months from date of receipt.

Species Specificity:

Human

Tested Applications:

WB: 1:1,000-1:3,000 (detect endogenous protein*)

*: The apparent protein size on WB may be different from the calculated M.W. due to modifications.
