Background:

MYOD1 is a nuclear protein that belongs to the basic helix-loop-helix family of transcription factors and the myogenic factors subfamily. MYOD1 regulates muscle cell differentiation by inducing cell cycle arrest, a prerequisite for myogenic initiation. MYOD1 is also involved in muscle regeneration. MYOD1 activates its own transcription which may stabilize commitment to myogenesis.

Source and Purity:

Rabbit polyclonal antibodies were produced by immunizing animals with a GST-fusion protein containing the C-terminal region of human MYOD1. Antibodies were purified by affinity purification using immunogen.
