Background:

AT-rich interactive domain-containing protein 2 (ARID2) is involved in transcriptional activation and repression of select genes by chromatin remodeling (alteration of DNA-nucleosome topology). ARID2 is required for the stability of the SWI/SNF chromatin remodeling complex SWI/SNF-B (PBAF) and may be involved in targeting the complex to different genes. ARID2 may also be involved in regulating transcriptional activation of cardiac genes.

Other Names:

AT-rich interactive domain-containing protein 2, ARID domain-containing protein 2, BRG1-associated factor 200, BAF200, Zinc finger protein with activation potential, Zipzap/p200

Source and Purity:

Rabbit polyclonal antibodies were produced by immunizing animals with a GST-fusion protein containing the N-terminal region of human ARID2. Antibodies were purified by affinity purification using immunogen.

Storage Buffer and Condition:

Supplied in 1 x PBS (pH 7.4), 100 ug/ml BSA, 40% Glycerol, 0.01% NaN3. Store at -20 °C. Stable for 6 months from date of receipt.

Species Specificity:

Human, Mouse

Tested Applications:

WB: 1:1,000-1:3,000 (detect endogenous protein*)

IP & ChIP: 1:100-1:200

*: The apparent protein size on WB may be different from the calculated M.W. due to modifications.

Product Data:

Fig 1. A) Western blot of total cell extracts from WT or 2 independent ARID2-knockout (KO1 and KO2) clones from human hepatoma cell line BEL-7404; using anti-ARID2 (N) (R2380-1) at RT for 2 h. B) Western blot of total cell extracts from a, d. mouse thymus, b. human HeLa, c. human Jurkat; using 2 independent Abs against 2 distinct regions of human ARID2 at RT for 2 h. C) Total extracts from mouse thymus were immunoprecipitated (IP) with IgG or anti-ARID2 (N) (R2380-1) under the conventional IP conditions or cross-linked chromatin immunoprecipitation (ChIP) conditions; followed by WB with anti-ARID2 (C) (R2380-2) at RT for 2 h.
