R1408-2 - CAMK2G (C2) Antibody, Rabbit Polyclonal
|
Quantity: 100 ul Application: WB Predicted I Observed M.W.: 63 kDa Uniprot ID: Q13555 Background: Calcium/calmodulin-dependent protein kinase type II subunit gamma (CAMK2G) belongs to the protein kinase superfamily, the CAMK Ser/Thr protein kinase family, and the CaMK subfamily. CAMK2G is a calcium/calmodulin-dependent protein kinase that functions autonomously after Ca2+/calmodulin-binding and autophosphorylation, and is involved in sarcoplsamic reticulum Ca2+ transport in skeletal muscle and may function in dendritic spine and synapse formation and neuronal plasticity. In slow-twitch muscles, CAMK2G is involved in regulation of sarcoplasmic reticulum (SR) Ca2+ transport and in fast-twitch muscle participates in the control of Ca2+ release from the SR through phosphorylation of the ryanodine receptor-coupling factor triadin. In neurons, CAMK2G may participate in the promotion of dendritic spine and synapse formation and maintenance of synaptic plasticity which enables long-term potentiation (LTP) and hippocampus-dependent learning. Other Names: Calcium/calmodulin-dependent protein kinase type II subunit gamma, CaM kinase II subunit gamma, CaMK-II subunit gamma Source and Purity: Rabbit polyclonal antibodies were produced by immunizing animals with a GST-fusion protein containing the C-terminal region of human CAMK2G. Antibodies were purified by affinity purification using immunogen. Storage Buffer and Condition: Supplied in 1 x PBS (pH 7.4), 100 ug/ml BSA, 40% Glycerol, 0.01% NaN3. Store at -20 °C. Stable for 6 months from date of receipt. Species Specificity: Human Tested Applications: WB: 1:1,000-1:3,000 (detect endogenous protein*) *: The apparent protein size on WB may be different from the calculated M.W. due to modifications. Product Data: (A) human HeLa, (B) human Jurkat; using anti-CAMK2G (C2) (R1408-2) at RT for 2 h. |
