Product Introduction:

vPair^TM antibodies represent a pair of fully characterized antibodies that recognize two different regions of a target protein. Background:

Bone morphogenetic protein 1 (BMP1) belongs to the peptidase M12A family and cleaves the C-terminal propeptides of procollagen I, II and III. BMP1 induces cartilage and bone formation. BMP1 may also participate in dorsoventral patterning during early development by cleaving chordin (CHRD). BMP1 is responsible for the proteolytic activation of lysyl oxidase LOX.

Source and Purity:

Rabbit polyclonal antibodies were produced by immunizing animals with GST-fusion proteins containing either the N-terminal [BMP1 (N) (R0374-1)] or the C-terminal [BMP1 (C1) (R0374-2)] region of mouse BMP1. Antibodies were purified by affinity purification using immunogen. 

Storage Buffer and Condition:

Supplied in 1 x PBS (pH 7.4), 100 ug/ml BSA, 40% Glycerol, 0.01% NaN₃. Store at -20 °C. Stable for 6 months from date of receipt.
