R1693-2 - PTPN12 (C) Antibody, Rabbit Polyclonal
|
Quantity: 100 ul Application: WB Predicted I Observed M.W.: 88 I 110 kDa Uniprot ID: Q05209 Background: Tyrosine-protein phosphatase non-receptor type 12 (PTPN12) is a member of the protein tyrosine phosphatase (PTP) family. PTPs are signaling molecules that regulate a variety of cellular processes including cell growth, differentiation, mitotic cycle and oncogenic transformation. PTPN12 contains a C-terminal PEST motif, which serves as a protein-protein interaction domain, and may regulate protein intracellular half-life. PTPN12 was found to bind and dephosphorylate the product of the oncogene c-ABL and thus may play a role in oncogenesis. PTPN12 was also shown to interact with, and dephosphorylate, various products related to cytoskeletal structure and cell adhesion, such as p130 (Cas), CAKbeta/PTK2B, PSTPIP1 and paxillin, suggesting that it has a regulatory role in controlling cell shape and mobility. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants encoding distinct isoforms [provided by RefSeq]. Other Names: Tyrosine-protein phosphatase non-receptor type 12, PTP-PEST, Protein-tyrosine phosphatase G1, PTPG1 Source and Purity: Rabbit polyclonal antibodies were produced by immunizing animals with a GST-fusion protein containing the C-terminal region of human PTPN12. Antibodies were purified by affinity purification using immunogen. Storage Buffer and Condition: Supplied in 1 x PBS (pH 7.4), 100 ug/ml BSA, 40% Glycerol, 0.01% NaN3. Store at -20 °C. Stable for 6 months from date of receipt. Species Specificity: Human, Mouse Tested Applications: WB: 1:1,000-1:3,000 (detect endogenous protein*) *: The apparent protein size on WB may be different from the calculated M.W. due to modifications. Product Data: Fig 1. Western blot of total cell extracts from(A) mouse brain, (B) human HeLa; using anti-PTPN12 (C) (R1693-2) at RT for 2 h. |
