Product Introduction:

vPair^TM antibodies represent a pair of fully characterized antibodies that recognize two different regions of a target protein. Background:

Exostosin-1 (EXT1) is an endoplasmic reticulum-resident type II transmembrane glycosyltransferase involved in the chain elongation step of heparan sulfate biosynthesis. EXT1 forms a homo/hetero-oligomeric complex with EXT2. The EXT1/EXT2 complex possesses substantially higher glycosyltransferase activity than EXT1 or EXT2 alone. EXT1 appears to be a tumor suppressor. Mutations in the EXT1 gene cause the type I form of multiple exostoses.

Source and Purity:

Rabbit polyclonal antibodies were produced by immunizing animals with GST-fusion proteins containing either the N-terminal [EXT1 (N) (R2711-1)] or the C-terminal [EXT1 (C) (R2711-1)] region of human EXT1. Antibodies were purified by affinity purification using immunogen.
