Background:

Interleukin 17A (IL17A) is a proinflammatory cytokine produced by activated T cells.  It regulates the activities of NF-kappaB and MAP kinases.  It also stimulates the expression of IL6 and COX-2 and enhances the production of nitric oxide.  It enhances the surface expression of intracellular adhesion molecule-1 in fibroblasts.  High levels of IL17A have been implicated in a number of chronic inflammatory diseases such as rheumatoid arthritis, psoriasis and multiple sclerosis.

Source and Purity:

Rabbit polyclonal antibodies were produced by immunizing animals with a GST-fusion protein containing the N-terminal region of human IL17A.  Antibodies were purified by affinity purification using immunogen. 

Storage Buffer and Condition:

Supplied in 1 x PBS (pH 7.4), 100 ug/ml BSA, 40% Glycerol, 0.01% NaN₃. Store at -20 °C. Stable for 6 months from date of receipt.
