Background:

Fibroblast growth factor 2 (basic) (FGF2) is a member of the FGF family of proteins that bind to heparin.  FGF2 has been implicated in a multitude of biological processes, such as limb and nervous system development, wound healing and tumor growth.  The mRNA for this gene is alternatively translated from non-AUG and AUG initiation codons resulting in five different isoforms with distinct properties.

Source and Purity:

Rabbit polyclonal antibodies were produced by immunizing animals with a GST-fusion protein containing the N-terminal region of mouse FGF2.  Antibodies were purified by affinity purification using immunogen. 

Storage Buffer and Condition:

Supplied in 1 x PBS (pH 7.4), 100 ug/ml BSA, 40% Glycerol, 0.01% NaN₃. Store at -20 °C. Stable for 6 months from date of receipt.
