Background:

Huntingtin-interacting protein 1 (HIP1) plays a role in clathrin-mediated endocytosis and trafficking. HIP1 is involved in regulating AMPA receptor trafficking in the central nervous system in an NMDA-dependent manner. HIP1 also enhances androgen receptor (AR)-mediated transcription. HIP1 may act as a proapoptotic protein that induces cell death by acting through the intrinsic apoptosis pathway. HIP1 may also be required for differentiation, proliferation, and/or survival of somatic and germline progenitors.

Source and Purity:

Rabbit polyclonal antibodies were produced by immunizing animals with a GST-fusion protein containing the C-terminal region of human HIP1. Antibodies were purified by affinity purification using immunogen. 

Storage Buffer and Condition:

Supplied in 1 x PBS (pH 7.4), 100 ug/ml BSA, 40% Glycerol, 0.01% NaN3. Store at -20 °C. Stable for 6 months from date of receipt.
