Background:

Tyrosine-protein phosphatase non-receptor type 1 (PTPN1) is a tyrosine-protein phosphatase which acts as a regulator of endoplasmic reticulum unfolded protein response. PTPN1 mediates dephosphorylation of EIF2AK3/PERK, inactivating the protein kinase activity of EIF2AK3/PERK. PTPN1 may play an important role in CKII- and p60c-src-induced signal transduction cascades. It may regulate the EFNA5-EPHA3 signaling pathway which modulates cell reorganization and cell-cell repulsion. PTPN1 may also regulate the hepatocyte growth factor receptor signaling pathway through dephosphorylation of MET.

Other Names:

Tyrosine-protein phosphatase non-receptor type 1, Protein-tyrosine phosphatase 1B, PTP-1B, PTP1B

Source and Purity:

Rabbit polyclonal antibodies were produced by immunizing animals with a GST-fusion protein containing C-terminal region of human PTPN1. Antibodies were purified by affinity purification using immunogen.

Storage Buffer and Condition:

Supplied in 1 x PBS (pH 7.4), 100 ug/ml BSA, 40% Glycerol, 0.01% NaN3. Store at -20 °C. Stable for 6 months from date of receipt.

Species Specificity:

Human, Mouse

Tested Applications:

WB: 1:1,000-1:3,000 (detect endogenous protein*)

*: The apparent protein size on WB may be different from the calculated M.W. due to modifications.
