R3240-2 - TXNIP (C) Antibody, Rabbit Polyclonal
|
Quantity: 100 ul Application: WB Predicted I Observed M.W.: 44 kDa Uniprot ID: Q9H3M7 Background: Thioredoxin-interacting protein (TXNIP) may act as an oxidative stress mediator by inhibiting thioredoxin activity or by limiting its bioavailability. TXNIP interacts with COPS5 and restores COPS5-induced suppression of CDKN1B stability, blocking the COPS5-mediated translocation of CDKN1B from the nucleus to the cytoplasm. TXNIP also functions as a transcriptional repressor, possibly by acting as a bridge molecule between transcription factors and corepressor complexes, and over-expression will induce G0/G1 cell cycle arrest. TXNIP ats as a suppressor of tumor cell growth. It also inhibits the proteasomal degradation of DDIT4, and thereby contributes to the inhibition of the mammalian target of rapamycin complex 1 (mTORC1). Other Names: Thioredoxin-interacting protein, Thioredoxin-binding protein 2, Vitamin D3 up-regulated protein 1, VDUP1 Source and Purity: Rabbit polyclonal antibodies were produced by immunizing animals with a GST-fusion protein containing C-terminal region of human TXNIP. Antibodies were purified by affinity purification using immunogen. Storage Buffer and Condition: Supplied in 1 x PBS (pH 7.4), 100 ug/ml BSA, 40% Glycerol, 0.01% NaN3. Store at -20 °C. Stable for 6 months from date of receipt. Species Specificity: Human Tested Applications: WB: 1:1,000-1:3,000 (detect endogenous protein*) *: The apparent protein size on WB may be different from the calculated M.W. due to modifications. Product Data: from human Jurkat; using anti-TXNIP (C) (R3240-2) at RT for 2 h. |
