Product Introduction:

vPair^TM antibodies represent a pair of fully characterized antibodies that recognize two different regions of a target protein. The product is developed by Abiocode to address whether the signal observed truly represents the protein of interest, an often encountered issue in antibody-based assays. The use of a pair of fully characterized vPair^TM antibodies in the same assay can validate signal specificity since vPair^TM antibodies recognize two independent epitopes of the same protein. Background:

Zinc finger protein 36 homolog (ZFP36) is an mRNA-binding protein involved in post-transcriptional regulation of AU-rich element (ARE)-containing mRNAs. ZFP36 acts by specifically binding to ARE-containing mRNAs and promoting their degradation. ZFP36 recruits deadenylase CNOT7 (and probably the CCR4-NOT complex) via association with CNOT1. ZFP36 also plays a key role in the post-transcriptional regulation of tumor necrosis factor (TNF).

Source and Purity:

Rabbit polyclonal antibodies were produced by immunizing animals with GST-fusion proteins containing either the N-terminal [ZFP36 (N) (R3201-1)] or the C-terminal [ZFP36 (C) (R3201-2)] region of human ZFP36. Antibodies were purified by affinity purification using immunogen.
