Background:

Integrin alpha-5 (ITGA5) is a single-pass type I membrane protein that belongs to the integrin alpha chain family. ITGA5/beta-1 is a receptor for fibronectin and fibrinogen. It recognizes the sequence R-G-D in its ligands. In case of HIV-1 infection, the interaction between ITGA5 and extracellular viral Tat protein seems to enhance angiogenesis in Kaposi's sarcoma lesions.

Source and Purity:

Rabbit polyclonal antibodies were produced by immunizing animals with a GST-fusion protein containing the N-terminal region of human ITGA5. Antibodies were purified by affinity purification using immunogen. 

Storage Buffer and Condition:

Supplied in 1 x PBS (pH 7.4), 100 ug/ml BSA, 40% Glycerol, 0.01% NaN₃. Store at -20 °C. Stable for 6 months from date of receipt.
