Background:

Membrane-bound transcription factor site-2 protease (MBTPS2) is a multi-pass membrane protein belonging to the peptidase M50A family. Intramembrane proteolysis of sterol-regulatory element-binding proteins (SREBPs) within the first transmembrane segment thereby releasing the N-terminal segment with a portion of the transmembrane segment attached. Site-2 cleavage comes after site-1 cleavage which takes place in the lumenal loop.

Source and Purity:

Rabbit polyclonal antibodies were produced by immunizing animals with a GST-fusion protein containing the middle region of human MBTPS2. Antibodies were purified by affinity purification using immunogen. 

Storage Buffer and Condition:

Supplied in 1 x PBS (pH 7.4), 100 ug/ml BSA, 40% Glycerol, 0.01% NaN3. Store at -20 °C. Stable for 6 months from date of receipt.
