Background:

BH3-interacting domain death agonist (BID) plays a role in apoptosis. P22 BID is cleaved into three chains: p15 BID, p13 BID, and p11 BID. The major proteolytic product of p15 BID allows the release of cytochrome C. BID counters the protective effect of Bcl-2.

Source and Purity:

Rabbit polyclonal antibodies were produced by immunizing animals with a GST-fusion protein containing the N-terminal region of human BID. Antibodies were purified by affinity purification using immunogen.
