R0784-3 - E2A (C) Antibody, Rabbit Polyclonal
|
Quantity: 100 ul Application: WB Predicted | Observed MW: 68 kDa Uniprot ID: P15923 Background: Transcription factor E2-alpha (E2A) is also known as Transcription factor 3 (TCF3), which is a transcriptional regulator involved in the initiation of neuronal differentiation. Heterodimers between E2A and tissue-specific basic helix-loop-helix (bHLH) proteins play major roles in determining tissue-specific cell fate during embryogenesis, like muscle or early B-cell differentiation. Dimers bind DNA on E-box motifs: 5'-CANNTG-3'. E2A binds to the kappa-E2 site in the kappa immunoglobulin gene enhancer. It also binds to IEB1 and IEB2, which are short DNA sequences in the insulin gene transcription control region. Other Names: Transcription factor E2-alpha, Class B basic helix-loop-helix protein 21, bHLHb21, Immunoglobulin enhancer-binding factor E12/E47, Immunoglobulin transcription factor 1, Kappa-E2-binding factor, Transcription factor 3, TCF-3, Transcription factor ITF-1, BHLHB21, E2A, ITF1, TCF3 Source and Purity: Rabbit polyclonal antibodies were produced by immunizing animals with a GST-fusion protein containing C-terminal region of human E2A. Antibodies were purified by affinity purification using immunogen. Storage Buffer and Condition: Supplied in 1 x PBS (pH 7.4), 100 ug/ml BSA, 40% Glycerol, 0.01% NaN3. Store at -20 °C. Stable for 6 months from date of receipt. Species Specificity: Human, Mouse Tested Applications: WB: 1:500-1:2,000 (detect endogenous protein*) *: The apparent protein size on WB may be different from the calculated M.W. due to modifications. Product Data: from A) mouse thymus, B) human HeLa, C) human Jurkat; using anti-E2A (C) (R0784-3) at RT for 2 h. |
