Background:

Serine/threonine-protein kinase LATS2 (LATS2) belongs to the protein kinase superfamily and the AGC Ser/Thr protein kinase family. LATS2 is a negative regulator of YAP1 in the Hippo signaling pathway that plays a pivotal role in organ size control and tumor suppression by restricting proliferation and promoting apoptosis. LATS2 acts as a tumor suppressor which plays a critical role in centrosome duplication, maintenance of mitotic fidelity and genomic stability. LATS2 also negatively regulates G1/S transition by down-regulating cyclin E/CDK2 kinase activity.

Other Names:

Serine/threonine-protein kinase LATS2, KPM, Kinase phosphorylated during mitosis protein, Large tumor suppressor homolog 2, Serine/threonine-protein kinase kpm, Warts-like kinase

Source and Purity:

Rabbit polyclonal antibodies were produced by immunizing animals with a GST-fusion protein containing the C-terminal region of human LATS2. Antibodies were purified by affinity purification using immunogen.

Storage Buffer and Condition:

Supplied in 1 x PBS (pH 7.4), 100 ug/ml BSA, 40% Glycerol, 0.01% NaN3. Store at -20 °C. Stable for 6 months from date of receipt.

Species Specificity:

Human, Mouse

Tested Applications:

WB: 1:1,000-1:3,000 (detect endogenous protein*)

*: The apparent protein size on WB may be different from the calculated M.W. due to modifications.
