Background:
Ribulose bisphosphate carboxylase large chain (RBCL) is the large subunit of Ribulose bisphosphate carboxylase (RUBISCO). RuBisCO catalyzes two reactions: the carboxylation of D-ribulose 1,5-bisphosphate, the primary event in carbon dioxide fixation, as well as the oxidative fragmentation of the pentose substrate in the photorespiration process. Both reactions occur simultaneously and in competition at the same active site. RBCL is tyrosine-phosphorylated and its phosphorylation state is modulated in response to ABA in Arabidopsis thaliana seeds. RBCL is one of the most abundant proteins in arabidopsis thaliana.
Other Names:
Ribulose bisphosphate carboxylase large chain, RuBisCO large subunit, rbcl
Source and Purity:
Rabbit polyclonal antibodies were produced by immunizing animals with a GST-fusion protein containing the C-terminal region of arabidopsis thaliana RBCL (AtCg00490). Antibodies were purified by affinity purification using immunogen.

Supplied in 1 x PBS (pH 7.4), 100 ug/ml BSA, 40% Glycerol, 0.01% NaN3. Store at -20 °C. Stable for 6 months from date of receipt.
Species Specificity:
Arabidopsis thaliana
Tested Applications:
WB: 1:1,000-1:10,000 (detect endogenous protein*)
