Background:

Colony-stimulating factor 1 receptor (CSF1R) is the receptor for colony stimulating factor 1 (CSF1), a cytokine that controls the production, differentiation, and function of macrophages. CSF1R is a tyrosine kinase transmembrane receptor and member of the CSF1/PDGF receptor family of tyrosine-protein kinases. CSF1R mediates most if not all of the biological effects of CSF1. Ligand binding activates the receptor kinase through a process of oligomerization and transphosphorylation. Mutations in the CSF1R gene have been associated with a predisposition to myeloid malignancy.

Source and Purity:

Rabbit polyclonal antibodies were produced by immunizing animals with a GST-fusion protein containing the N-terminal region of human CSF1R. Antibodies were purified by affinity purification using immunogen.
