Background:

CREB-binding protein (CREBBP) acetylates histones, giving a specific tag for transcriptional activation. CREBBP also acetylates non-histone proteins, like NCOA3 and FOXO1. CREBBP binds specifically to phosphorylated CREB and enhances its transcriptional activity toward cAMP-responsive genes.

Source and Purity:

Rabbit polyclonal antibodies were produced by immunizing animals with a GST-fusion protein containing the C-terminal region of human CREBBP. Antibodies were purified by affinity purification using immunogen.
