R1477-1 - PDK3 (N) Antibody, Rabbit Polyclonal
|
Quantity: 100 ul Application: WB Predicted I Observed M.W.: 47 I 54 kDa Uniprot ID: Q15120 Background: [Pyruvate dehydrogenase (acetyl-transferring)] kinase isozyme 3, mitochondrial (PDK3) belongs to the PDK/BCKDK protein kinase family. PDK3 inhibits pyruvate dehydrogenase activity by phosphorylation of the E1 subunit PDHA1, and thereby regulates glucose metabolism and aerobic respiration. PDK3 can also phosphorylate PDHA2. PDK3 decreases glucose utilization and increases fat metabolism in response to prolonged fasting, and as adaptation to a high-fat diet. Furthermore, PDK3 plays a role in glucose homeostasis and in maintaining normal blood glucose levels in function of nutrient levels and under starvation. PDK3 also plays a role in the generation of reactive oxygen species. Other Names: [Pyruvate dehydrogenase (acetyl-transferring)] kinase isozyme 3, mitochondrial, Pyruvate dehydrogenase kinase isoform 3, PDHK3 Source and Purity: Rabbit polyclonal antibodies were produced by immunizing animals with a GST-fusion protein containing the N-terminal region of human PDK3. Antibodies were purified by affinity purification using immunogen. Storage Buffer and Condition: Supplied in 1 x PBS (pH 7.4), 100 ug/ml BSA, 40% Glycerol, 0.01% NaN3. Store at -20 °C. Stable for 6 months from date of receipt. Species Specificity: Human, Mouse Tested Applications: WB: 1:1,000-1:3,000 (detect endogenous protein*) *: The apparent protein size on WB may be different from the calculated M.W. due to modifications. Product Data: Fig 1. Western blot of total cell extractsfrom A) mouse brain, B) mouse thymus; using anti-PDK3 (N) (R1477-1)at RT for 2 h. |
