Background:

Histone deacetylase 7 (HDAC7) is responsible for the deacetylation of lysine residues on the N-terminal part of the core histones (H2A, H2B, H3 and H4).  Histone deacetylation serves as a tag for epigenetic repression and plays an important role in transcriptional regulation, cell cycle progression and developmental events.  It is thought to be involved in muscle maturation by repressing the transcription of myocyte enhancer factors.  HDAC7 may play a role in Epstein-Barr virus latency, possibly by repressing the viral BZLF1 gene.

Source and Purity:

Rabbit polyclonal antibodies were produced by immunizing animals with a GST-fusion protein containing the N-terminal region of human HDAC7.  Antibodies were purified by affinity purification using immunogen. 

Storage Buffer and Condition:

Supplied in 1 x PBS (pH 7.4), 100 ug/ml BSA, 40% Glycerol, 0.01% NaN₃. Store at -20 °C. Stable for 6 months from date of receipt.
