R1412-2 - MAX (C) Antibody, Rabbit Polyclonal
|
Quantity: 100 ul Application: WB Predicted I Observed M.W.: 18 I 21 kDa Uniprot ID: P61244 Background: Protein max (MAX) is a transcription regulator belonging to the MAX family. MAX forms a sequence-specific DNA-binding protein complex with MYC or MAD which recognizes the core sequence 5'-CAC[GA]TG-3'. The MYC:MAX complex is a transcriptional activator, whereas the MAD:MAX complex is a repressor. MAX may repress transcription via the recruitment of a chromatin remodeling complex containing H3 'Lys-9' histone methyltransferase activity. Other Names: Protein max, Class D basic helix-loop-helix protein 4, bHLHd4, Myc-associated factor X, BHLHD4 Source and Purity: Rabbit polyclonal antibodies were produced by immunizing animals with a GST-fusion protein containing the C-terminal region of human MAX. Antibodies were purified by affinity purification using immunogen. Storage Buffer and Condition: Supplied in 1 x PBS (pH 7.4), 100 ug/ml BSA, 40% Glycerol, 0.01% NaN3. Store at -20 °C. Stable for 6 months from date of receipt. Species Specificity: Human, Mouse Tested Applications: WB: 1:500-1:2,000 (detect endogenous protein*) *: The apparent protein size on WB may be different from the calculated M.W. due to modifications. Product Data: A) mouse thymus, B) human HeLa, C) human Jurkat; using anti-MAX (C) (R1412-2) at RT for 2 h. |
