R3337-2 - EIF2A (C) Antibody, Rabbit Polyclonal
|
Quantity: 100 ul Application: WB Predicted I Observed M.W.: 65 kDa Uniprot ID: Q9BY44 Background: Eukaryotic translation initiation factor 2A (EIF2A) functions in the early steps of protein synthesis of a small number of specific mRNAs. EIF2A acts by directing the binding of methionyl-tRNAi to 40S ribosomal subunits. In contrast to the eIF-2 complex, it binds methionyl-tRNAi to 40 S subunits in a codon-dependent manner, whereas the eIF-2 complex binds methionyl-tRNAi to 40 S subunits in a GTP-dependent manner. EIF2A may act by impiging the expression of specific proteins. Other Names: Eukaryotic translation initiation factor 2A, eIF-2A, 65 kDa eukaryotic translation initiation factor 2A, CDA02, MSTP004, MSTP089 Source and Purity: Rabbit polyclonal antibodies were produced by immunizing animals with a GST-fusion protein containing the C-terminal region of human EIF2A. Antibodies were purified by affinity purification using immunogen. Storage Buffer and Condition: Supplied in 1 x PBS (pH 7.4), 100 ug/ml BSA, 40% Glycerol, 0.01% NaN3. Store at -20 °C. Stable for 6 months from date of receipt. Species Specificity: Human, Mouse Tested Applications: WB: 1:500-1:2,000 (detect endogenous protein*) *: The apparent protein size on WB may be different from the calculated M.W. due to modifications. Product Data: from A) mouse thymus; B) human HeLa; C) human Jurkat; using anti-EIF2A (C) (R3337-2) at RT for 2 h. |
