R3399-1 - FCA (N) Antibody, Rabbit Polyclonal
|
Quantity: 100 ul Application: WB Predicted I Observed M.W.: 82, 58, 55, 29 kDa Uniprot ID: O04425
Background: FCA plays a major role in the promotion of the transition of the vegetative meristem to reproductive development. FCA plays a role in the regulation of flowering time in the autonomous flowering pathway by decreasing FLOWERING LOCUS C mRNA levels. FCA required for RNA-mediated chromatin silencing of a range of loci in the genome. Cotranscriptionally recognizes aberrant RNA and marks it for silencing. Controls alternative cleavage and polyadenylation on pre-mRNAs and antisense RNAs. FCA acts redundantly with FPA to prevent the expression of distally polyadenylated antisense RNAs at the FLC locus. Other Names: Flowering time control protein FCA, At4g16280, At4g16290, At4g16300, dl4180c, dl4181c, dl4182c, FCAALL.331 Source and Purity: Rabbit polyclonal antibodies were produced by immunizing animals with a GST-fusion protein containing the N-terminal region of arabidopsis thaliana FCA (AT4G16280). Antibodies were purified by affinity purification using immunogen. Storage Buffer and Condition: Supplied in 1 x PBS (pH 7.4), 100 ug/ml BSA, 40% Glycerol, 0.01% NaN3. Store at -20 °C. Stable for 6 months from date of receipt. Species Specificity: Arabidopsis thaliana Tested Applications: WB: 1:500-1:2,000 (detect endogenous protein*) *: The apparent protein size on WB may be different from the calculated M.W. due to modifications. Product Data:Fig 1. Western blot of equal amounts of proteinextracts from wild type (WT) or FCA-deficient mutant(Mut) arabidopsis leaves; using anti-FCA (N) (R3399-1)at RT for 2 h. Multiple isoforms of FCA have been reported.
