Background:

Ethylene receptor 2 (ETR2) is an Ethylene receptor related to bacterial two-component regulators. ETR2 acts as a redundant negative regulator of ethylene signaling. ETR2 is located in the endoplasmic reticulum membrane. ETR2 expression can be induced by ethylene treatment.

Other Names:

ETHYLENE RESPONSE 2, AtETR2, Ethylene receptor 2, Protein ETR2

Source and Purity:

Rabbit polyclonal antibodies were produced by immunizing animals with a GST-fusion protein containing the C-terminal region of arabidopsis thaliana ETR2 (AT3G23150). Antibodies were purified by affinity purification using immunogen.

Storage Buffer and Condition:

Supplied in 1 x PBS (pH 7.4), 100 ug/ml BSA, 40% Glycerol, 0.01% NaN3. Store at -20 °C. Stable for 6 months from date of receipt.

Species Specificity:

Arabidopsis thaliana

Tested Applications:

WB: 1:500-1:2,000 (detect endogenous protein*)

*: The apparent protein size on WB may be different from the calculated M.W. due to modifications.

Product Data:

 ETR2 Antibody Western (Abiocode)

Fig 1. Western blot of protein extracts from WT arabidopsis grown in the
absence (-) or presence of 0.1 mM ACC (1-aminocyclopropane-1-carboxylic
acid, the ethylene precursor) for  16 h, using anti-ETR2 (C) (R3570-1) at RT
for 2 h. ETR2 is known to be induced and degraded upon ethylene treatment
(Chen et al., JBC, 2007, 282:24752-8).
