R0224-1 - MYLIP (C) Antibody, Rabbit Polyclonal
|
Quantity: 100 ul Application: WB Predicted M.W.: 50 kDa Uniprot ID: Q8WY64 Background: Myosin regulatory light chain interacting protein (MYLIP) is also known as inducible degrader of the LDL-receptor (IDOL), which is an E3 ubiquitin-protein ligase that mediates ubiquitination and subsequent proteasomal degradation of myosin regulatory light chain (MRLC), LDLR, VLDLR and LRP8. Proteasomal degradation of MRLC leads to the inhibition of neurite outgrowth in the presence of NGF by counteracting the stabilization of MRLC by saposin-like protein (CNPY2/MSAP) and reducing CNPY2-stimulated neurite outgrowth. MYLIP also acts as a sterol-dependent inhibitor of cellular cholesterol uptake by mediating ubiquitination and subsequent degradation of LDLR. Other Names: E3 ubiquitin-protein ligase MYLIP, Inducible degrader of the LDL-receptor, Idol, IDOL, Myosin regulatory light chain interacting protein, MIR, BZF1, BM-023, PP5242 Source and Purity: Rabbit polyclonal antibodies were produced by immunizing animals with a GST-fusion protein containing the C-terminal region of human MYLIP. Antibodies were purified by affinity purification using immunogen. Storage Buffer and Condition: Supplied in 1 x PBS (pH 7.4), 100 ug/ml BSA, 40% Glycerol, 0.01% NaN3. Store at -20 °C. Stable for 6 months from date of receipt. Species Specificity: Human, Mouse Tested Applications: WB: 1:1,000-1:5,000 (detect endogenous protein*) *: The apparent protein size on WB may be different from the calculated M.W. due to modifications.
Product Data: Fig 1. Western blot of total cell extracts from (A) human MCF7, (B) mouse brain, using Ab (R0224-1) at RT for 2 h.
