Application: WB Quantity: 500 ug in 100 ul, 5 ug/ul Product Description: Protein extracts were prepared from mouse thymus cells by lyzing cell pellets in a buffer containing 50 mM Tris, pH 8; 0.4 M NaCl; 0.5% NP-40; 10% Glycerol and 1 mM EDTA, supplemented freshly with 1 mM DTT and 1 mM PMSF. After incubating on ice for 20 min, protein lysates were centrifuged at 13,000 rpm at 4oC for 5 min, and supernatants were transferred to fresh tubes. The protein concentration was determined by the Bradford protein assay. The protein extract was standardized to 5 ug/ul with 2 x SDS sample buffer, followed by denaturation at 95°C for 5 min. Storage Condition: Keep at -20°C. Stable for 6 months from date of receipt. Usage Instruction: For Western blot analysis, incubate protein extracts at 95°C for 5 min and load 8 - 10 ul of the extract per lane. |
