Background:

DWARF14/D14 (Strigolactone esterase D14) is involved in strigolactone signaling pathway. DWARF14/D14 is rapidly degraded in the presence of strigolactones and functions downstream of strigolactone synthesis, as a component of hormone signaling and as an enzyme that participates in the conversion of strigolactones to the bioactive form. DWARF14/D14 acts probably as a strigolactone receptor. The hydrolysis of strigolactone into a covalently linked intermediate molecule initiates a conformational change of DWARF14/D14 to facilitate interaction with MAX2 and formation of the D14-MAX2-SKP1/ASK1 complex to trigger strigolactone signaling. This mechanism defines DWARF14/D14 as a non-canonical hormone receptor with dual functions to generate and sense the active form of strigolactone.

Supplied in 1 x PBS (pH 7.4), 100 ug/ml BSA, 40% Glycerol, 0.01% NaN3. Store at -20 °C. Stable for 6 months from date of receipt.

Species Specificity:

Arabidopsis

Tested Applications:

WB: 1:500-1:2,000 (detect endogenous protein*)
