Product Introduction:

vPair^TM antibodies represent a pair of fully characterized antibodies that recognize two different regions of a target protein. The product is developed by Abiocode to address whether the signal observed truly represents the protein of interest, an often encountered issue in antibody-based assays. The use of a pair of fully characterized vPair^TM antibodies in the same assay can validate signal specificity since vPair^TM antibodies recognize two independent epitopes of the same protein. Background:

Enhancer of zeste homolog 2 (EZH2) belongs to the Polycomb-group (PcG) family.  Members from this family form multimeric protein complexes, which play a role in maintaining the transcriptional repressive state of genes over successive cell generations.  EZH2 interacts with the embryonic ectoderm development protein, the VAV1 oncoprotein, and the X-linked nuclear protein.  The complex it forms with EED/PRC2 promotes the methylation of ‘Lys-9’ and ‘Lys-27’ of histone H3, which in turn leads to the transcriptional repression of the target genes.

Source and Purity:

Rabbit polyclonal antibodies were produced by immunizing animals with a GST-fusion protein containing either the N-terminal [EZH2 (N) (R0148-1)] or the middle [EZH2 (M) (R0148-2)] regions of human EZH2.  Antibodies were purified by affinity purification using immunogen. 

Storage Buffer and Condition:

Supplied in 1 x PBS (pH 7.4), 100 ug/ml BSA, 40% Glycerol, 0.01% NaN₃. Store at -20 °C. Stable for 6 months from date of receipt.
