R0244-1 - PIAS1 (C1) Antibody, Rabbit Polyclonal
|
Quantity: 100 ul Application: WB Predicted M.W.: 72 kDa Uniprot ID: O88907 Background: E3 SUMO-protein ligase PIAS1 is a member of the mammalian PIAS (protein inhibitor of activated STAT-1 (signal transducer and activator of transcription-1)) family, which contains a putative zinc-binding motif and a highly acidic region. PIAS1 functions as an E3-type small ubiquitin-like modifier (SUMO) ligase, stabilizing the interaction between UBE2I and the substrate, and as a SUMO-tethering factor. PIAS1 plays a crucial role as a transcriptional coregulation in various cellular pathways, including the STAT pathway, the p53 pathway and the steroid hormone signaling pathway. In vitro, PIAS1 binds A/T-rich DNA. The effects of the transcriptional coregulation, transactivation or silencing, may vary depending upon the biological context. Other Names: E3 SUMO-protein ligase PIAS1, DEAD/H box-binding protein 1, Protein inhibitor of activated STAT protein 1, DDXBP1, GBP, RNA helicase II-binding protein, GU/RH-II, zinc finger, MIZ-type containing 3, ZMIZ3, Gu-binding protein, AR interacting protein Source and Purity: Rabbit polyclonal antibodies were produced by immunizing animals with a GST-fusion protein containing the C-terminal region of mouse PIAS1. Antibodies were purified by affinity purification using immunogen. Storage Buffer and Condition: Supplied in 1 x PBS (pH 7.4), 100 ug/ml BSA, 40% Glycerol, 0.01% NaN3. Store at -20 °C. Stable for 6 months from date of receipt. Species Specificity: Mouse Tested Applications: WB: 1:1,000-1:5,000 (detect endogenous protein*) *: The apparent protein size on WB may be different from the calculated M.W. due to modifications.
