R0256-1 - UCHL1 (N) Antibody, Rabbit Polyclonal
|
Quantity: 100 ul Application: WB Predicted M.W.: 25 kDa Uniprot ID: P09936 Background: Ubiquitin carboxyl-terminal hydrolase isozyme L1 (UCHL1) belongs to the peptidase C12 family. UCHL1 is a ubiquitin-protein hydrolase involved both in the processing of ubiquitin precursors and of ubiquitinated proteins. This enzyme is a thiol protease that recognizes and hydrolyzes a peptide bond at the C-terminal glycine of ubiquitin. UCHL1 also binds to free monoubiquitin and may prevent its degradation in lysosomes. The homodimer may have ATP-independent ubiquitin ligase activity. Defects in UCHL1 are the cause of Parkinson disease type 5 (PARK5). Other Names: Ubiquitin carboxyl-terminal hydrolase isozyme L1, UCH-L1, Neuron cytoplasmic protein 9.5, PGP 9.5, Source and Purity: Rabbit polyclonal antibodies were produced by immunizing animals with a GST-fusion protein containing the N-terminal region of human UCHL1. Antibodies were purified by affinity purification using immunogen. Storage Buffer and Condition: Supplied in 1 x PBS (pH 7.4), 100 ug/ml BSA, 40% Glycerol, 0.01% NaN3. Store at -20 °C. Stable for 6 months from date of receipt. Species Specificity: Human, Mouse Tested Applications: WB: 1:1,000-1:5,000 (detect endogenous protein*) *: The apparent protein size on WB may be different from the calculated M.W. due to modifications.
