|
Quantity: 100 ul Applications: WB, IP, IF, IHC Predicted M.W.: 72 kDa Uniprot ID: O75925 Applications key:
WB = Western blotting; IP = Immunoprecipitation; IF = Immunofluorescence; IHC = Immunohistochemistry Background: E3 SUMO-protein ligase PIAS1 is a member of the mammalian PIAS (protein inhibitor of activated STAT-1 (signal transducer and activator of transcription-1)) family, which contains a putative zinc-binding motif and a highly acidic region. PIAS1 functions as an E3-type small ubiquitin-like modifier (SUMO) ligase, stabilizing the interaction between UBE2I and the substrate, and as a SUMO-tethering factor. PIAS1 plays a crucial role as a transcriptional coregulation in various cellular pathways, including the STAT pathway, the p53 pathway and the steroid hormone signaling pathway. In vitro, PIAS1 binds A/T-rich DNA. The effects of the transcriptional coregulation, transactivation or silencing, may vary depending upon the biological context. Other Names: E3 SUMO-protein ligase PIAS1, DEAD/H box-binding protein 1, Protein inhibitor of activated STAT protein 1, DDXBP1, GBP, RNA helicase II-binding protein, GU/RH-II, zinc finger, MIZ-type containing 3, ZMIZ3, Gu-binding protein, AR interacting protein Source and Purity: Rabbit polyclonal antibodies were produced by immunizing animals with a GST-fusion protein containing the C-terminal region of human PIAS1, and provided as whole antiserum. Storage Buffer and Condition: Supplied as whole rabbit serum containing 0.01% NaN3. Store at 4oC for up to 1 month, or aliquot and store at -70oC for long term storage (stable for 6 months from date of receipt). Species Specificity: Human, Mouse Tested Applications: WB: 1:1,000-1:5,000 (detect endogenous protein*) IP: 1:50-1:100 IF: 1:100-1:200 IHC: 1:100-1:200 *: The apparent protein size on WB may be different from the calculated M.W. due to modifications.
