Background:

Interleukin 2 (IL2) is a cytokine that is important for the proliferation of T and B lymphocytes.  It can stimulate B-cells, monocytes, lympokine-activated killer cells, natural killer cells, and glioma cells.  The expression of this gene in mature thymocytes is monoallelic, which represents an unusual regulatory mode for controlling the precise expression of a single gene.

Source and Purity:

Mouse monoclonal antibodies were produced by immunizing animals with a GST-fusion protein containing the N-terminal region of human IL2. Antibodies were purified by Caprylic Acid- Ammonium Sulfate precipitation. 

Storage Buffer and Condition:

Supplied in 1 x PBS (pH 7.4), 40% Glycerol, 0.02% Thimerosal. Store at -20 °C. Stable for at least 6 months from date of receipt.
