Background:

Mannosyl-oligosaccharide 1,2-alpha-mannosidase IA (MAN1A1) is a type II transmembrane protein that belongs to the glycosyl hydrolase 47 family. It is involved in the maturation of Asn-linked oligosaccharides. MAN1A1 catalyzes the hydrolysis of the terminal (1->2)-linked alpha-D-mannose residues in the oligo-mannose oligosaccharide Man(9)-GlcNAc(2). It progressively trims alpha-1,2-linked mannose residues from Man(9)GlcNAc(2) to produce Man(5)GlcNAc(2).

Source and Purity:

Rabbit polyclonal antibodies were produced by immunizing animals with a GST-fusion protein containing the N-terminal region of human MAN1a1. Antibodies were purified by affinity purification using immunogen.
