Background:

Glutathione S-transferase class-mu 26 kDa isozyme (GST26) is an enzyme that can conjugate reduced glutathione to a wide number of exogenous and endogenous hydrophobic electrophiles. GST isoenzymes appear to play a central role in the parasite detoxification system. Other functions are also suspected including a role in increasing the solubility of haematin in the parasite gut. GST exists as homodimers.

Source and Purity:

Mouse monoclonal antibodies were produced by immunizing animals with the full-length GST26 from Schistosoma japonicum (Blood fluke). Antibodies were purified by Caprylic Acid- Ammonium Sulfate precipitation. 

Storage Buffer and Condition:

Supplied in 1 x PBS (pH 7.4), 40% Glycerol, 0.02% Thimerosal. Store at -20 °C. Stable for 6 months from date of receipt.
