Background:

Bone morphogenetic protein 3 (BMP3) is a secreted protein that belongs to the TGF-beta superfamily.  BMP3 is expressed in adult and fetal cartilage and is highly expressed in fracture tissue, particularly in osteoblasts, osteoclasts and chondroblasts. BMP3 negatively regulates bone density by antagonizing the ability of certain osteogenic BMPs to induce osteoprogenitor differentitation and ossification.

Source and Purity:

Rabbit polyclonal antibodies were produced by immunizing animals with a GST-fusion protein containing the N-terminal region of mouse BMP3. Antibodies were purified by affinity purification using immunogen.

Storage Buffer and Condition:

Supplied in 1 x PBS (pH 7.4), 40% Glycerol, 100 ug/ml BSA, 0.01% NaN₃. Store at -20 °C. Stable for 6 months from date of receipt.
