Background:

BMP9 belongs to the bone morphogenetic protein family and the TGF-beta superfamily.  BMP9 is thought to be involved in bone formation. It may also play a role in the adult liver and in the neuronal differentiation of cholinergic central nervous system.  It induces hepcidin and may regulate iron metabolism.

Source and Purity:

Rabbit polyclonal antibodies were produced by immunizing animals with a GST-fusion protein containing the N-terminal region of mouse BMP9. Antibodies were purified by affinity purification using immunogen.
