Background:

Substance-P receptor /TACR1 is a multi-pass membrane protein that belongs to the G-protein coupled receptor 1 family. TACR1 is a receptor for the tachykinin neuropeptide substance P (SP). It is probably associated with G proteins that activate a phosphatidylinositol-calcium second messenger system. The rank order of affinity of this receptor to tachykinins is: substance P > substance K > neuromedin-K.

Source and Purity:

Rabbit polyclonal antibodies were produced by immunizing animals with a GST-fusion protein containing the C-terminal region of human TACR1. Antibodies were purified by affinity purification using immunogen.
