Background:

Adenylate cyclase type 1 (ADCY1) is a multi-pass membrane protein that belongs to the adenylyl cyclase class-4/guanylyl cyclase family. ADCY1 is the neural-specific calmodulin-sensitive adenylyl cyclase. Adenylyl cyclases are a group of enzymes that convert adenosine-5'-triphosphate (ATP) into 3',5'-adenosine monophosphate (cAMP) and pyrophosphate. ADCY1 may be involved in regulatory processes in the central nervous system. It may play a role in memory acquisition and learning.

Rabbit polyclonal antibodies were produced by immunizing animals with a GST-fusion protein containing the N-terminal region of human ADCY1. Antibodies were purified by affinity purification using immunogen.
