Background:

Keratin 18 (KRT18) is a type I intermediate filament chain that partners with keratin 8.  These two keratins are the most common of the family and are expressed in single layer epithelial tissues throughout the body.  When phosphorylated, KRT18 plays a role in filament reorganization.  Mutations in KRT18 have been linked to cryptogenic cirrhosis.

Source and Purity:

Rabbit polyclonal antibodies were produced by immunizing animals with a GST-fusion protein containing the middle region of human KRT18. Antibodies were purified by affinity purification using immunogen.

Storage Buffer and Condition:

Supplied in 1 x PBS (pH 7.4), 40% Glycerol, 100 ug/ml BSA, 0.01% NaN₃. Store at -20 °C. Stable for 6 months from date of receipt.
